VISIONAIRE 67 FETISH Steven Klein is a limited edition collector’s series of 10 original photographic prints by legendary photographer Steven Klein. The photographs are stills from 10 films inspired by “altocalciphilia” — the fetish for high heels — “pictophilia” — the fetish for erotic pictures — and “autagonistophilia”—the fetish for being on camera, with its subject matter depicting suggestive, pseudo-sexual scenarios in which dangerous stilettos come to the foreground of erotically charged moments between male and female players. A musing on male/female dominance, the imagery is dark, sexy and smoldering—though more suggestive than explicit—in Steven Klein’s distinctive style and technical mastery. With each image corresponding to its own particular paraphilic fetish, the viewer becomes silent voyeur to the sinister strut and abstracted allure of the scene.
The Miami event features installations inspired by fetish highlights the significance of “consent”. The installations, which will unfold in different rooms within the Standard’s Hamam Spa, are visual reminders that consent is an essential, non-negotiable precursor; that provocative dress or conduct does not preclude a person’s right to decide whether to be touched or to engage. Consent is never implicit; it’s always a person’s choice whether or not to give it.
ZIRKOVA ONE+TOGETHER VODKA This Miami event kicks off Zirkova’s Cocktail for a Cause program at the Standard Hotels, whereby $1 from every Lido Lemonade cocktail will be donated to Tarana Burke’s Just Be foundation, which originated the #MeToo movement, an international testament to the prevalence of female sexual harassment.
STEVEN KLEIN studied painting at the Rhode Island School of Design, then moved into the field of photography. Klein has shot high-profile advertising campaigns for fashion brands including Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, Balmain, and Alexander McQueen and is a longtime contributor to Conde Nast publications, including Vogue and W. He is well- known for shooting celebrities including Madonna, Brad Pitt, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and models Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, and Gisele. In 2003, Klein collaborated with Madonna on an exhibition of images, a series of short films, and a book called X-STaTIC PRO=CeSS. Most recently, Klein collaborated with Katy Perry on the September 2017 cover of W that also featured augmented reality films.
